Screens

There are only three main screens in this program.  They are the Main Envelope Entry, Address Database, and the Return Address Options screen.
Below, are a short descriptions of the processing functions within these screens.

MAIN Envelope Entry
The Main Envelope Entry is basically where everything happens.  You have a multitude of options that you can select, or just use the defaults that have been set up on the Options screen.

First off, there is a place to select up to Three different return addresses to print on the Envelope.  The Default comes up every time that you run the program.  If you have other Return addresses such as Work or something else, you would click on the Work Tab, or the Other Tab.  If you have a one time return address, you can click on the NEW tab, and just key one in.  The system does not save this one, so be aware.

To the right of this is the options that will apply to the Envelope you are about to print.  These defaults are defined via the Options screen.  If you click on them, they will only be defined for the current session that this program is run.  This means the defaults will come back the next time you run this program.  The options you can select are:

Print Return Address:
This will print the Envelope with a Return Address that you select.

Print POSTNET Bar code:
This will print the US POSTNET Bar code above the Mailing Address on the Envelope.

Print Logo Image:
This will print the Logo/Picture that has been selected/loaded to be used during printing.

Envelope Size:
This is used to select the size of the Envelope being printed.  Currently there are only 3 sizes, but a future version should contain more.

LOGO - This area is displayed only if the Return Address Options screen is checked to Print/Display Logo.  It will display the logo or picture that will be printed on the envelope just to the left of the return address.  This feature has been enabled to save a different picture for each Return Address section.  Just click on the tab to select the return address and the associated logo will be displayed.  If there is no logo to display, it will display None.  It will also not print the blank logo on the Envelope.  To load a logo, just right-click on the Logo box, then select Load.  You will be prompted to select a logo or picture from your system.  If you select Delete, then it will delete whatever logo you have previously loaded.  A suggestion would to make sure you do not select a large logo.  It will not look very good on your envelope.  If you need to shrink a logo you have, there is a nice utility called Irfanview that can be downloaded from http://www.irfanview.com/.

Next is the Mailing Address area.  You can key in your desired address to send the Envelope to, or just click on the Database button to select from one you have already stored in your system.  There is room for 5 lines on the address, which should be enough.  Also, after keying a new address, if you want to save it to your database, just click on the Arrow button with a circle around it and the system will automatically save it to your database.  If you are creating more than one, after printing an Envelope, you can click on the Clear button, and your Address information will be cleared.

There is also an Attn: field.  This is used to print an Attention field in the bottom Left hand corner of the Envelope.  You have the option to automatically print 'Attn:' in front of the entered data.  This is selected on the Options screen.

We have added an option that will allow you to justify the return address and the mailing addresses.  All you need to do is to right click on either of the fields, and a pop up menu will allow you to change the justification for these two fields.

You also have two buttons.  One is the Print and the other is Exit.  I would say that these are self explanatory.

Address Database Entry
This screen is used to add/update/select Addresses that will be stored in the system database.  These are sorted by a Sort field assigned to each record for easy retrieval.  There is a Navigational Bar that allows to you quickly scroll through records along with the normal Add, Delete options too.  There is a place to key in the Address and Attn fields too.  These will be loaded to the Main Envelope Entry screen if you Click on OK, or double click on the name displayed in the grid above.  If you click on Close, then nothing will be loaded.

Return Address Options Screen
This Screen is for storing your return address information and your default settings for the program.  Very simply put, your entries here will affect what the Main Entry screen processes

There are also other screens that allow you to maintain different options in the program.  Just explore them, as they are very self explanatory.

All the fields are pretty self explanatory.  If you have any questions please email us at support@starre.com and I will respond with an answer.
